About Exotic Car Intel
Exotic Car Intel exists for one reason: to help people buy used supercars and exotic cars with their eyes open.
There is no shortage of supercar content online. Most of it is about the fantasy. We're interested in what comes after: what a car really costs to keep, what goes wrong with specific models, and what to check before you hand over a six-figure sum.
What we do
- Buying guides by model: the known issues, recalls and inspection points for specific cars, from the Porsche 911 to the Ferrari 458.
- Ownership costs: realistic budgets for service, wear items, insurance and depreciation.
- Process guides: pre-purchase inspections, paperwork and how to walk away from a bad deal.
How we work
- Every number has a source. When we quote a price, a figure or a known issue, we link to where it came from at the bottom of the article.
- No hype. We'd rather tell you a car isn't right for you than sell you a dream.
- Ranges, not promises. Costs vary by region, shop, history and how you drive. We publish ranges and tell you when our sources disagree.
- We update. If a fact changes or we get something wrong, we'll fix it.
Independence
We do not accept payment from dealers, manufacturers or sellers to cover or rate a specific car. If that ever changes, for example with affiliate links or sponsorships, we will disclose it clearly on the page where it applies.
The fine print
Everything on this site is general information, not financial, legal or mechanical advice. Always get an independent pre-purchase inspection from a qualified specialist, and confirm prices, recalls and warranty coverage for the exact car you're considering.
